Fantastic to hear this, utterly awesome. Isn’t anyone else seeing this? Maybe there are people saying this but I haven’t heard them.

All I seem to be hearing is “Oh how awful! Another sign of the end!” There is so much defeatism in the American (Western would be better term) church. The prevailing sentiment is “Get ready for the rapture its all down hill from here! A student was suspended for reading the bible at lunch, It’s over!!!

I’m believing that God has blessed the US as no other nation in history for a reason, and its not to yank away His lampstand at the end of the age. We can believe in a Lord that will lead us in victory in the midst of a deteriorating world or resign ourselves to an inconsequential church. God is waiting for us to believe that He can send the most powerful revival in the history of His church.

I have written an article which covers much of what Dr. Brown has communicated here, while touching a few other areas as well. It’s called “Already! Not Yet!”, and I would encourage anyone interested in these matters to consider it. Dr. Brown is a friend and father in the faith, and the article is not contrary to what’s been communicated here. However, it does touch a few other areas.

      Dr. Brown,

I agree that we’ve been living in the last days for the past 2000 years. But I believe there is a difference between the last days and the “great tribulation” spoken of by Jesus in Matt 24.

Jesus gave a pretty detailed prophecy concerning what events will occur leading up to his return. He says that we’ll hear of wars and rumors of wars, that there will be natural disasters in diverse places, that we’ll be hated of all nations for his sake, and that many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. One could argue that these things have been going on for the past 2000 years as well. But then Jesus goes on to say…

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mar 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

You mentioned that the bible has been translated into over 2000 different languages. We must be getting close.

Then Jesus mentions the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place as spoken of by Daniel. I believe Jesus is speaking of Dan 11:31, and I believe this is the same man mentioned in Dan 7:25, 2Th 2:4, Rev 13. If Jesus is indeed speaking of these same events found in these verses, then there are indeed tough times ahead. It mentions in Dan 7:21 that “this same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;” and in Rev 13:7 “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

I guess my point is there’s a difference between the “last days” and the accounts given in Mat 24, Dan 7, Dan 11:21-12:1 and much of Revelation. Or rather that the “great tribulation” is a very specific event that falls within the last days. Also, I believe that we are very close to these events. But I agree that it’s no excuse to start having “rapture practice”. If anything it should cause us to really reach out to the lost even more.

I hope I explained myself well enough.

      Daniel

      Daniel,

Of course, with each generation, we get closer to the end of the age, regardless of how one interprets Matthew 24. However, the whole point of my show was to argue against the misuse of the “last days” scriptures, and it appears that you did get my point.

1948 is a milestone, what does it represent?  I’ll get to that in a minute; first I want to establish a link between the two creations of the nation of Israel.  First to cover Israel’s earthly existance as a light.  Hos 9:10 “I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness: I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at fer first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved”

What does this reveal about Israel? It reveals that fig trees blossom twice with good fruit.  Matt 24:32-34 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors”
When was Israel born as a nation?  When Joshua entered the Promised Land.  Josh 4:19 “And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day ot the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho”
When was Israel born again as a nation?  May 14, 1948 by a mandate.  Ezek 36:23-24 “And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them, and the heathcn shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord G-d, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.  For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, not pass away”
When did the nation biblically become an adult?  20 years is the age of accountability,  and corresponding to that the nation of Israel was completing this period with the 6-day war in 1968.   Additionally 20 years is also the completion of two 10 year periods.  10 signifies the number of completion.

When did the nation biblically become a mature adult?  20 years after 1968 would bring us to 1988, which would give us 40 years after the birth in 1948 making Israel a mature adult.  The number 20 here signifies the establishment of the  Throne of YAHVEH.  From 1968 to 2008 is a 40 year period which signifies a testing or preparation period.

Let’s look at this further, and we would have to look at the counting of the Omer to fully understand the period between 2008 and 2018.  Lev 23:16-17 “Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days, and ye shall offer a new meat harvest unto the Lord.  Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of the two tenth deals: they shall be fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven: they are the firstfruits unto the Lord”
What must I realize about this period?  It is a twofold period (40 days + 10 days)
Period 1 – 40 days for testing or preparation
Period 2 – 10 days of waiting to manifest the change
What does this twofold period signify?  40 days of gestation and 10 days of patience.  Like human gestation, Yeshua impregnated the Disciples for 40 days with Kingdom seed.  Acts 1:2-3 “Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the Apostles who he had chosen: To whom also he shewen himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them for 40 days, and speaking of things pertaining to the kingdom of G-d”
When did Yeshua impregnate them? When Yeshua breathed on them the 1st day. John 20:20-22 “And when he had so said, he shewen unto them his hands and his side.  Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  Then said Yeshua to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive the Holy Ghost”
Like all change – Disciples had to wait 10 days to manifest the impregnation.  Luke 24:49-51 “And, behold, I send the promis of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.  And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.  And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven”
The reason why I bring up this 50 day counting is to show that the same is being mirrored from 1968.  We are counting down, the 40 years has past, now we are waiting and should already be prepared for Our Lord’s return!
The 40 years ended in 2008, now what is so special about 2008?  Did anything happen? Yes, we started the Global financial failure.  We still have another year of this to watch and see it get worse, there is no way to fix it.  It is set up to get worse so that we can look later on down the line to someone who proposes to fix it; not nationally but globally.  The next thing to look for is a Global political failure, then 2 years after that there will be a Global religous failure which should occur somewhere around 2014.  By 2015 the world will be open to anyone with a solution to this Global catastrophe.  Matt 24:7-8 “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows”

So to answer the question of the topic, yes we are living in the Last Days, yes, for some 2000 years we are living in the last days and we are fortunate enough to see all these things come to pass which many before us have been eagerly waiting to see.
