      Things got ugly fast. Jefferson’s camp accused President Adams of having a “hideous hermaphroditical character, which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman.”

      Yikes!

      Is there such athing as healing angels helaing people?
      Some preachers say the pool of bethesda is old testament and now only believers and Jesus heal.
      The recent healing revival brings teaching about healing angels.
      Is that really biblical?

      Didn’t King Solomon have a book concerning the calling upon angels to help heal and perform different tasks? I seem to remember something about him communing with specific angels for assistance. Correct me if I am wrong…

      The Solomonic stuff is pure fiction, and a lot of the non-biblical writings are filled with angel accounts. Thanks for asking.

      Check out the long discussion on the Principles of Discernment thread in the archives for more on this, and keep listening in to the broadcast, since I’m going to discuss this subject on the air one day too (in terms of angelic activity).

      Here’s a short answer: There’s no reason to state that angels can’t bring healing under the New Covenant since they brought healing under the Old Covenant at times, as if there has to be some kind of break between the two covenants. After all, didn’t angels still bring deliverance and even judgment in the NT, even in Acts? (See Acts 12 for examples of both.) On the other hand, the pattern we are given in the Word is to put our trust in God and minister according to His promises and authority in the name of Jesus and the power of the Spirit, in which case we don’t put our emphasis or attention on angels.

      Dr. Brown,

      One more question, didn’t know where else to ask this, but here goes. I wanted clarification because I heard this from a Scholar and just wanted clarification/your perspective since you have studied the ancient language and would be more exposed to deeper meanings.

      He said that the story of Abraham and Isaac was one to illustrate/help differ from the caananite style of worship (and surrounding practices including the egyptians) in that it showed how the “hebrew” culture’s GOD did not allow for human sacrifices. It was also a story to illustrate devotion to GOD.

      How then can Yeshua be a human sacrifice?

      I have a question to Dr. Michael Brown from my mother in Germany about marriage and homosexuality.

      In 1. Cor. 7:4 it is stated:
      “The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.”
      But how should a marriage work when the husband is bisexual. (Goes to an homosexual club).
      He is a scientist and atheist. The wife is a new-born spirit-filled christian.
      They have a six-year-old son.
      Both are about 35 years old. They love and respect each other a lot so a divorce is unthinkable.
      The husband wants to live with his wife and the wife mentions:
      1. Cor. 7,10;13:
      “To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband;
      And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him.”
      A divorce is unthinkable!
      Husband and wife suffer a lot. The husband is silent, he is very ashamed of this before his wife (” I am not a homosexual.”)
      But there are witnesses. He is bisexual.

      How should such a marriage work?

      Dr. Brown,

      I recently read on the web that Charles Finney didn’t believe in substitutionary atonement. I was disappointed to read that because out of all of the heros of the faith that you and other men of God write about, Finney inspires me the most. Please tell me that this is not true. Is this some kind of lie being spread to discredit Finney? I also heard that he greatly exaggerated stories of revival, what do you know of these hopefully false claims concerning Finney? Please help me clear this up.

      Thanks that was a great answer! It actually was my question, I thought that no one checked your email because I never received an answer. I greatly appreciate you clarifying that for me. I agree it doesn’t sound heretical like some of the things that are coming across the air waves in modern times. I am going to try to listen to more of the shows, I really wish that we had a station here in Louisiana that could broadcast your show.

      Dr. Brown,

      I have a question, what message of yours was it when you said something similar to the following:(Very Bad Paraphrase please forgive my poor memory)

      If humanity’s problem was boredom God would have sent an entertainer, if our problem was government He would have sent a politician, If it was medical he would have sent a doctor….but because our problem was sin He sent a Savior.

      If you remember the exact quote could you post it here and the message. I don’t remember if that was you or you were quoting someone else, but that is a really great quote.
