interesting choice of topic. Is it right for a Christian actor to romantically kiss a Christian actress in a Christian movie (or non Christian movie). Does the fact that they are acting allow them to romantically kiss a person who may be married?

yes. if it puts Christian ideals and doctrines in the arena of public view. Ben Steins movie “expelled” being an example. (special creation)Otherwise we are reduced and marginalized by the enemy. we are to be light to the world, not an enclave to ourselves. do not hoard the good news and secret it away, but let it shine and illuminate the path so others might follow it. Brothers and Sisters, we are in the world, and called to be witnesses, always be ready to share the hope that lies within you. unfortunately the question might better have been asked “do Christians have a place in pornos” considering the current state of affairs in Hollywood. this is a direct result of Christian apathy, think i’m kidding? how many churchgoers are active outside the church. I’m talking mainline protestants here not the cults. and because we’ve withdrawn and removed ourselves from the world the enemy now seeks to establish a counterfit church. the emergents, preaching a false doctrine and worshipping a false Christ. i’m talking about the lets have a beer with Jesus crowd. you know, the jesus that dosen’t judge, the jesus thats “ok” with homosexuality because after all as long as two people love each other…. bunch. how many times do you hear “the bible says not to judge” when you approach and engage others with spiritual conversation. Mr. Stein was right about one thing, we will lose the freedom we hold precious if we allow lies to be perpetuated and sit in our homes and churches complacent and uncaring for the unsaved world. learn to defend your faith and fight for your King! verbally, not physically, thats what Christ was telling Peter in Gethsemane and in the upper room discourse. put away your sword but boldly proclaim the Truth, Jesus is Lord. Unbelief requires a willful ignorance, anyone who’s examined the bible to descredit it and reads it with an open mind becomes changed. its what happened to me. am i popular with my family? nope, but i keep trying, and you should too. My father passed away this year, June 5, from cancer. we would debate spiritual things for hours, and he would say things like its impossible to know anything absolutely. this was last year at Christmas, and in response i told him that i could state an absolute, undeniable truth, and he challenged me. my response? that at some point in time we’d both be dead, absolutely and without question. he got real quiet.in March of this year he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. i was the primary caregiver for dad, and i watched him die this year, i learned what true Christian love is, the time for words had passed, he clearly understood the doctrine, i’m made sure of that, and i cared for him. my life stopped there too for awhile as dad became my complete center of attention,he passed in the comfort of his home, now he rests with the Lord.

Dear mwiya, thanks. your views are truly Christian, it seems we disagree on some of the details, but how many Christians have you agreed with completely on every detail? steel sharpens steel, and the bible is sharper than any two edged sword. I wonder, might we both be correct, and the distinction depends on perspective? in other words who’s eyes are doing the viewing? you seem to see everything thru God’s eyes and i admire that, but i also thinks He puts us here for His purpose, and that combined with free will lends another perspective. The horizontal. i don’t think i could ever let a transgressor perpetrate harm on anyone, not if i could help it.

Hi Rick, you mention how many times do you hear “the bible says not to judge”? I agree with you. Here is an article you will appreciate: Thou Shalt Judge

I agree with the caller on this show who commended the movie Time Changer. It is well worth checking out as it mirrors many of the concerns Dr. Brown raises like worldliness in the church and the decline in the standards of western civilisation generally.

      Hi Ewan,
I’ve been trying to see Time Changers for a while now. Can’t seem to find it on itunes and haven’t found it in stores. I’ve searched the net to see if I can watch it online. Do you know any site’s I could see it on? I remember seeing the trailer for it on TBN a while back and it looked very interesting. The synopsis for it is very interesting also. That’s as close to watching it as I’ve gotten.

I’ve always thought if a movie was made that included the documentation of Elijah’s ministry that would be so cool. Imagine if they got an old person to play Him, they wouldn’t miss the scene were he runs faster than a horse and chariot. That would be awesome to watch and old man outrunning a horse… :)

I brought the DVD from one of the Australian Christian bookstores a while back. My advice would be to see if you can get it from a Christian bookstore. This is the website of the movie with links that may help you track it down: http://www.timechangermovie.com/home.htm
