For years now men have been trying to tie God into science. there isn’t a science to God He is way beyond man figuring out. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, His weakness is above our strenght.I think when men begin to realize that God is not a flesh and blood man . He is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth only then will they get passed trying to break God down .

How we the believers know the bible is real or the truth unlike unbelievers we can try the spirit by the spirit and see if it is of God. I don’t know about the compromising Christians of today but JESUS told Peter the words I speak is life, so the word of God is alive.

There are so many reasons to believe the truth of the Bible, including archeology and historical support but my ‘slam dunk argument’ would be Daniel’s 70 weeks masterfully presented by Sir Robert Anderson in his book ‘The Coming Prince’. There are also numerous books on Danie’s 70 weeks if you need more.
I do not believe this has ever been refuted and I don’t know how Rabbi’s get around it. By their own writings Sir Robert Anderson has been able to prove the 69 weeks of Daniel down to the exact time of Jesus’ triumphal entry. In fact, the book of Daniel has been so correct in prophecy that skeptics claimed it was written after the events Daniel prophesied took place until they discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls which vindicated Daniel.

William,
I agree with you, Sir Anderson’s book is really good.

The Bible as truth, tempered with grace. Read the Gospels, read Acts, accept the warm heart experience offered when through prayer and waiting on the Holy Spirit one is regenerated from above by faith. It is deep calling to deep, a soul’s panting for real life connecting to real life, plus: the qualifications of His great Love written by all Biblical authors make it so. Imagine only a demanding love, a possessive love, or a sensual love, then one comes up short on the depth of knowing love which ever increasing faith aquainted with the word permits. Welcome to the Kingdom of God, revealed by Yeshua, the King.
And, prior or after such an encounter, Matthew and John seem to capture for a searcher or pilgrim the unique ability of the redeemer to fulfill His own promises given through the Prophets of Old regarding the coming of the Promised One, and for a believer in Him. The Bible gives testimony of the finished work of the Messiah, redemption, and ever increasing grace in so relating to such.
