Surely the stakeholders can work out a solution where the person can attend without posing a risk to kids, AND without congregants THINKING that he/she will pose a risk? Have some one accompany the person (a cop), s/he can go to a church without day-care, s/he can listen online, meet in home groups etc. It would not do politically, to let a convicted offender (guilty or not) to be a day-care supervisor. The convicted offender will understand Knowledge of congregants..... Since the event I've become born again and been healed. There is one recommendation I would make...sex offenders should be aloud to go to church, but atleast the leadership should be aware of the specific sex offenders and the congregation should be educated on how to be helpers in the deliverance of these people, that way the offenders will not be shamed and outcast, and the congregation would be knowledgable enough to at least be understanding on how to deal with them. It is important, however, to ensure that they do not attend the same places where the victims they assaulted at the time do not attend the same congregation.
