Hi. Thank you so much for allowing the Lord to work through you, Mike I truly appreciate a Jewish perspective, I trust very few perspectives…
“Apostasy” — standing aloof from Christ; not only that a person doesn’t believe in Christ. But what does it mean to depart from believing in Christ? You can believe in the person, but do you believe in His teachings, and in His testimony? He said “don’t be deceived”, and this deception leads people astray from the faith, and people stand aloof from Christ. I have been one – the devil deceiving me into thinking I am evil making me feel guilty — but the Bible says that in my inward man I delight in the law of God!!! The truth sets us free from the deceptive accusations of satan!
I say, let them have their “marriage”. Not giving it to them doesn’t change what they do in private anyways.
Benji,
Do you see no problem with actually redefining marriage — which affects the whole society in one way or another — so that it is no longer the union of a man and a woman but the union of two people?
(Q) “Do you see no problem with actually redefining marriage — which affects the whole society in one way or another?”
One way of looking at it is through answering that question: how does redefining marriage affect society? For example, will it encourage people to commit homosexual acts? Will people engage in homosexual activity when they otherwise would not have, but for the redefinition of marriage?[-------> that's the question.]
I think people are going to do what they want in private (to engage in homosexual activity) regardless of how the law defines marriage. the redefinition won’t change anything. [---> my conclusion of fact/answering of the question] if that’s the case might as well let them have their “marriage” rights.
u might not agree with my conclusion/answer, but at least you can see where i’m coming from.
Thanks for your response.
Actually, I disagree with that perspective quite strongly, since marriage and family are the foundations of society, and once those are tampered with, everything else is affected, as numerous sociological and anthropological studies indicate.
Also, it has been demonstrated that children raised in same-sex households have a greater propensity to become homosexual themselves.
Also, it opens marriage to ANY definition. I heard that in Sweden there are three-person marriages, etc., and it will only be a certain amount of time before bestiality is brought in, etc.,
“Does God befriend Himself with a throne that commits iniquity by LAW?”
